About the Winter Support Fund

Funds available: £180k
Maximum Grant Amount: £10,000

Deadline: 12pm Thursday 4th December 2025

Hammersmith & Fulham Council, in partnership with H&F Giving, have launched the Winter Support Fund 2025/26, awarding grants to community organisations that support residents most in need. The Fund aims to provide direct assistance to residents experiencing financial hardship or facing immediate crisis.

The £180,000 Fund is being administered by H&F Giving on behalf of H&F Council, and will be distributed to local Voluntary and Community Sector (VCS) organisations to help households, including older residents, with food, fuel, and other essential living costs.

Grants of up to £10,000 are available. We particularly encourage partnership applications between organisations delivering in Hammersmith & Fulham, especially those working in areas of high deprivation and need.

This opportunity is only open to not-for-profit and charitable organisations.

Timeline

All funds must be spent or committed before 31 March 2026. The activity funded and final monitoring report should be completed and submitted by 13 April 2026.

Applications now open until 12pm Thursday 4th December 2025.

More about the projects, services or activity (optional)

Food insecurity remains a pressing issue in Hammersmith & Fulham, and community organisations are essential in helping residents access nutritious food and build long-term food security.

If your project provides any food support, please use the “food ladders” approach to help us understand the type of provision you offer. The food ladder recognises that support happens at different levels, from urgent crisis help to long-term community-led solutions.

Emergency Food Support – Providing free or low-cost meals, food parcels, or soup kitchens; shelters offering meals; or signposting people to other help.
Building Food Skills and Confidence – Teaching how to cook healthy, affordable meals; promoting healthy eating on a budget; running food pantries or community dining events where people can connect.
Community-Led Food Solutions – Cooperative food-growing or cooking projects; sharing stories or campaigns about food insecurity; reinvesting profits from food projects into local community needs.

We’d like to understand where your project will take place in Hammersmith & Fulham. This helps us see which areas are being supported and identify any gaps in provision.

Please list the postcodes where you will deliver your activities, services, or items. For each postcode, estimate the percentage of people you expect to reach there (If you don’t expect to work in a postcode area, please enter “0%.” The total should add up to 100%.)*
