For many residents across our borough, Christmas is a time of celebration and joy – presents under the tree, laughter around the table and time with family and friends.

But we know that many older and isolated residents in Hammersmith and Fulham are facing a very different holiday period.

Our own research from 2025, Building a strong and connected community: Identifying Needs in Hammersmith & Fulham, showed that many older residents in our borough are experiencing high levels of isolation. In addition, we also found that nearly early half (49%) of residents aged 65+ in Hammersmith & Fulham face financial insecurity.

Which is why your help is needed more than ever before to make sure this Christmas is Better Together.

How you can help

Every year, H&F Giving and Hammersmith & Fulham Council host H&F’s Big Christmas Day Lunch, welcoming up to 500 older and isolated residents to enjoy a delicious Christmas lunch with all the trimmings on the 25 of December.

There will be 50 turkeys, 500 mince pies, 1,000 cups of tea, 25 Christmas songs and one very special H&F Big Christmas Day Lunch.

But this event can’t happen without the generous support of our local community which is why we need your help to raise £55,000* to cover the costs of this heart-warming event.

This year, help us spread some festive joy, because Christmas is Better Together.

£10,000 donation

• Receive prominent recognition in any press releases and external communications about H&F’s Big Christmas Day Lunch, including inclusion in emails to Hammersmith & Fulham Council’s mailing list which reaches around 25,000 residents.
• Choose what you sponsor – from turkeys and Christmas crackers to welcome drinks, you can decide what you want to support.
• Bring your team together to give back, with the opportunity to help us pack gift bags for all 500 attendees.
• Put your brand directly into the hands of our guests, with the option to include one or two branded items or gifts in each of the 500 gift bags such as chocolates, pens, diaries or water bottles.

£5,000 donation

• Sponsor an element such as the entertainment, mince pies or our goody bags, helping us make the day extra special for our residents.
• Reach 25,000 H&F residents, with a quote from your business and your logo featured in articles in the Council’s e-newsletter.
• Be recognised across H&F Giving’s communications, including our e-newsletters and social media.

• Have your logo proudly displayed on your sponsored table, as well as on H&F’s Big Christmas Day Lunch webpage and social media posts.

Help with goody bags

In addition to sponsorship, we are also looking for businesses who can donate gifts, treats or other items for our 500 Christmas gift bags. In return, we’ll give your business a shout-out across our social media channels and celebrate your support.
