Apply to become a Better H&F Community Panellist
Applications are open until Monday 17 August 2026
At H&F Giving, we believe that local people know their communities best and that funding decisions are stronger when they are shaped by the people and places they are intended to support.
We are looking for residents of Hammersmith & Fulham to join our A Better H&F community panel, and have the opportunity to participate on a range of projects primarily our A Better Hammersmith & Fulham Fund over the next three years.
No experience needed
- You don’t need any experience – your local knowledge, lived experience, and values are what matter most.
- You’ll help decide how local money is spent to tackle poverty, isolation, and inequality across our borough.
- Training, support, and guidance are provided every step of the way.
What does a community panellist do?
- Read and discuss funding applications from local charities and community groups.
- Use your insight to help us understand which projects will make the biggest difference.
- Attend two paid in-person induction and training sessions.
- Commit 2-5 days per grant round, with all reasonable expenses covered.
Who can apply?
- Anyone with a connection to Hammersmith & Fulham – whether you live, work, study, volunteer, or have strong community links here.
- We especially welcome people with lived experience of local challenges, and we want our panel to reflect the full diversity of our borough.
What’s in it for you?
- Paid at least the London Living Wage (£14.80/hr as of June 2026) with flexible payment options available.
- Build confidence, skills, and experience for future roles in work, volunteering, or community leadership.
- Make a real, lasting difference in your community.
How to apply: We want this process to be as open and accessible as possible. You can apply in a way that suits you.
