Runners take on London Marathon for H&F Giving

A team of brilliant runners have signed up to the ultimate challenge – to run the London Marathon 2026 to raise money for H&F Giving!

Three individuals will take on the 26.2 mile course across the city of London on the 26th of April. For two of our team, this will be their first ever marathon.

Reade Lewis, who has a personal connection to the borough, having been inspired by his Grandfather’s local charity work, said: “Having been born and raised in the capital running the London Marathon has been a dream of mine since I was a little boy, this is a once in a lifetime opportunity!”

“My connection is personal as my Grandfather has been involved with supporting H&F Giving for many years, and seeing his hard work has been a huge inspiration throughout my life. This felt like a meaningful way to support a grassroots charity with immediately visible impacts on peoples lives.”

H&F Giving’s own Mary Lord has also signed up to the task, having only started her running journey last year. “I’m so excited to be taking on the challenge of running the London Marathon! It’s a little crazy – since I only ran my first 5km last August – but I couldn’t let this opportunity pass me by. It feels more important than ever to help support the grassroots organisations in our borough and the vital work they do. I want to do whatever I can to help support them.”

We hope you’ll join us in wishing our runners the best of luck! We can’t wait to cheer them on when the big day comes.
